Vocational Training

Learning Trades

As the Apostles each had a trade we teach the children the need for learning a skill and the blessing of hard work and a job well done. From agriculture, to construction, to office work and computers we teach many skills that can be used later in life.

In addition to our general education program, the children here have opportunities to be involved in vocational training.

Some children are involved in both our education program and vocational training. Others with limited academic capacity participate in vocational training only, as a form of occupational therapy and preparation for the future through the learning of useful skills.

Boys are able to be involved in woodworking, mechanics, construction, farming, maintenance, English, and computer skills.

Girls are given the opportunity to gain experience in cooking, baking, sewing, secretarial work, English, and cosmetology.

We hope that in the future our vocational training programs will be able to offer official certifications.
