VISION
Emmanuel began the education program in order to provide the children with the necessary tools to have a successful life. Every year, our school’s administrative team develops a vision and objectives for all academic areas.

HISTORY

Classes at Emmanuel were originally taught in 1990 by David Martinez and Gloria Sauceda. Although there was no formal facility for the school, classes were held in a barn. The school later relocated to a wing of classrooms in 1995 when funds were donated by the town of Silkeborg in Denmark. The funds were used to build what is now our elementary school.

As Emmanuel continued to grow and a need for further educational opportunities arose, David and Lydia continued to expand the school. In 2001, the Junior High school was established. It began with one classroom and very few students.  At this time, Emmanuel only had one area to facilitate all grades. However, the Honduran government does not permit elementary and high school classes to be located in the same building. So, the high school building was constructed in 2002.  A donation by David and Tammy Haight allowed further expansion in 2003, and our preschool was constructed.

God has continued to be faithful and provide for Emmanuel’s school through generous donors with hearts to provide for God’s children. Linda and Lee LaFrenze coordinated efforts that prompted McGraw Hill to donate textbooks for Kindergarten-9th grade. Donations in 2005 and 2009 provided books for the school library. The computer lab was also the result of a generous donation.  In 2013, Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church donated textbooks for the elementary school. We are so grateful for God’s faithfulness and the generosity of His people in sending financial assistance to support our education program.
