Val’s first trip to Emmanuel was in 2000 to serve in the dental clinic as a dental hygienist. Every February since, she havs had the privilege to work alongside other hygienists to clean the children and staff’s teeth. In 2006, Val started coordinating the teams from Grand Ave Baptist in Fort Smith, Arkansas to join up with Red Bank and others throughout the US that come together each February. In 2018, she began to co-captain this trip. Val has watched the campus transform throughout the years, but the most enjoyable part has been to watch the kids grow up and develop relationships with them.
