The children range in age from babies to young adults, and we have a special needs population. They come from difficult circumstances. Some are orphans, some abandoned, abused or come from extreme poverty. We pray for the continued blessing to be able to serve and take care of the children in Honduras.
Founded in 1989 serving in the city of Guaimaca, Honduras.
Throughout our Ministry, we have hosted over 500 volunteers from the United States, Denmark, and Honduras.
Here is the latest and greatest on what is happening at Emmanuel.

In the last couple years, we have had two beloved friends, supporters, and board members of Emmanuel pass away. 2 Timothy 4:7 says, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith,” and it is a beautiful way to describe these two wonderful men.
In 2021, we were blessed with a donation to be able to remodel our church. We replaced the roof, raised and repaired the walls, fixed up the offices, and repainted inside and out. In October, we were able to start using it again to hold services Sunday mornings and Wednesday afternoons.
On December 11th, we celebrated our 15 high school graduates! The class experienced another year of starts and stops due to COVID restrictions, and they persevered to successfully reach this milestone.
At the end of November, we had a small ceremony for our 10 Kindergarteners. We were able to celebrate this huge accomplishment. They were so thrilled to receive their diplomas. The smiles on their faces and being celebrated was the highlight of the year for them. We pray the foundation has been set for them to achieve their dreams!
On December 24th, we celebrated Christmas with all the children! We had a huge lunch with fried chicken, arroz, potato salad, tortillas, cake, and soda, and the children ate until they were full! Later that afternoon, we passed out all the presents to the children. Thanks to your donations each child was able to receive three presents and there are many that received more than that. The day was full of laughs and smiles. We are all so grateful for the love that you showed to the children!
